Well this cake proved to be a difficult find. Our GPS did not lead us to the right location, and since I hadn't done any reading about this one, I was looking for an actual arena, not condos! But once we found it, Wow! What a beautiful area!
The St. Louis Arena, fondly known as "The Barn" stood in this location from 1929-1999. This indoor arena has since been replaced by the Scottrade Center located further downtown. Much to public protest the Arena was demolished in 1999. Today the area is home to several loft style apartments, a Hampton Inn, and several business, as well as a central green area with artistic fountains.
