While getting somewhat lost in Forest Park as we drove though (hey, that park is really big!), we came across the World's Fair Pavilion just as the sun was setting.
The cake itself seems very whimsical, much as I imagine the World's Fair seemed to people who were visiting St. Louis in 1904. This was a very unique find after visiting the World's Fair exhibit at the History Museum just a few days before. I wish we still had World's Fairs today, imagine how much you would learn!
The other really neat thing I remember about finding this cake was that there was some sort of drum circle meeting in the pavilion, which just added to the magical feeling at this very historic place in the park.
