Washington University School of Medicine was founded in 1891 and has been ranked as one of the top ten medical schools in the nation. Physicians and students work with nearby Barnes Jewish Hospital and Children's Hospital to complete their studies and training.
I think it's really neat that just the medical school got their own cake, because Washington University has a large presence around Missouri and it was neat to see that a sub-school within the university was deemed important enough to have it's own cake.
