I was so excited to go find this cake, mainly because it gave me a chance to see the giant shoe of shoes once again!
Since we do technically live in the suburb of Clayton, we decided we would finally head to downtown Clayton and check all of those cakes off of our list. First stop was the Brown Shoe Company headquarters, which owns and operates Famous Footwear.
Back in 2000, when my family took a trip to St. Louis, the giant shoe of shoes located behind the cake was located in front of the City Museum in downtown St. Louis, for some reason, they have since moved the cake to it's current location in front of the Brown Shoe Company Headquarters. Whatever the reason was, I sure was giddy to see that giant shoe again and bring back some childhood memories.
