Cake 18-Shaw Park

Found July 29, 2014

Next stop in the Clayton area....Shaw Park!

Shaw Park is Clayton's oldest park and was established in 1935.  It was named after Charles A. Shaw, Clayton's sixth mayor who is said to have helped bring Clayton out of the Great Depression.

Shaw Park is home to many walking paths, a new adult fitness center, and a native plant garden.  It also is home to a large outdoor aquatic center, tennis courts, and an outdoor skating rink, all of which can be seen on the cake.  The front of the cake also features the diving pool, where the cake is conveniently located.
