The Museum of Transportation has one of the world's largest collections of transportation vehicles. The museum was founded in 1944, and joined with the Transport Museum Association in 1948. The museum is located on 129 acres of land and houses over 70 locomotives, as well as automobiles, buses, streetcars, aircraft, and riverboat materials.
