In 1915, August Busch Sr. choose to build a Dutch Windmill at this site since it was located halfway between the brewery and his home at Grant's Farm. He used the Mill Room as his private dining room, and opened the rest of the building to the public in 1917. In August of 2009, L and M Catering took control of the building and planned to reopen the mill. They are now open for private parties and some special events that the public is invited to as well.
