Cake 115- Griot Museum of Black History

Found November 1, 2014

This was one of the more worn looking cakes I've seen since beginning my cake journey.  There were several parts of the cake that had peeling paint.

The Griot Museum of Black History opened as The Black World History Museum in 1997.  In 2009, they took on the name Griot Museum because in many African countries, Griot is a highly respected member of the community who collects and preserves stories, objects, and traditions of the community. The Griot strives to share stories of African Americans who have a regional connection and have contributed to the nation's development.
